Teachers are developing new resources and
approaches to delivering learning experiences
Through the use of Learner management platforms
In SWSI teachers are using Janison and Jetty sites
where teachers are more easily able to upload and manage information ,content
Teams in sections are meeting the challenges of new training packages
and developing learning spaces for students based on the needs for workplace learning
and flexible / blended delivery
Teachers have recognised the value of team approaches and blended delivery maximising the use of available technology for the learners by creating learning space on line for example EDNA . Sandpit
Using technology to support the Recognition process
using pod casts and Learner evidence guides, and gap skilling with the use of learner packages
delivering blended learning with Face to face work shops and classes with online meetings via Adobe connect, workplace delivery and classes in TAFE some are now interactive classes as Smartboards become available in the TAFE collages
Communication with learners will now include mobile technology with SMS texting
Over the months teachers in the SWSI have taken a running leap in terms of embracing technology

and communication with Adobe connect to support email and online forums /chat

also the interactive Electroboard ,Smartboards /
The Accessing new technologies Showcase day was a great success in May with three project teams for the health ,Community and Personal services faculty presenting.
A also presented : Manageing Flexible Groups
The session provided an overview of the processes used to provide flexible and responsive training options for clients and the ways technology can be used to support the training options
The three project teams I was involved with also presented their projects and experiances with e-learning
The network of assessment validation leaders ( NAVAL) meets monthly and continues to embrace technology and assessment processes & validation.
Sharepoint is a web space each section is using to store and manage assessment validation information as well as to communicate and create new materials
Some sections are developing Pod casts or digital stories to support assessment guidelines
and information
Currently I am participating in the Recognition on Line RON project involves meeting with other teachers using adobe connect to discuss recognition and a Wiki space to identify resources
I am also developing a Blog as an evidence portfolio for Aboriginal Cultural Education program.
